Where are the pieces produced?
All of our BOLTENSTERN pieces are manufactured and finished in our Viennese workshop, founded in 1964. The 3D printing is carried out in Vienna and by our trusted European partners. We work together with the most renowned international partners, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation. Our in-house skilled craftsmen are world-renowned for their knowledge and professionalism, and some have been with us for more than forty years.
How are the pieces produced?
Our 3D printed pieces are initially created by coding an algorithm based on complex mathematical calculations. Once they have been 3D printed, they are finished and polished to perfection by our in-house goldsmiths. You can read more about the technology used to create our pieces here.
Do you do custom designs, and how do I go about ordering a custom piece?
Yes, we most certainly do. With our state-of-the-art technology and years of goldsmithing experience, we can make pretty much every wish you might have come true. Contact us at hello@boltenstern.com, and we will guide you through the process of designing your very own custom piece of BOLTENSTERN jewelry.
What payment options do you have?
Online, we accept the following forms of payment: Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Sofort, and Klarna. In our showroom, you are welcome to pay by debit/credit card or in cash.
What are your delivery times?
Delivery times in the table below are estimates and do not apply to BOLTENSTERN pre-ordered, custom-made, or printed on demand items. An estimated shipping time for your order will be available to view on the checkout page before you confirm payment.

If the pieces are 3D printed, why are production times 2–4 weeks?
When it comes to 3D printed fine jewelry, the process of production is complex. Designing the jewelry pieces and creating algorithms can take months or years of development. Moreover, although the printer creates the unique structures, the surfaces remain rough. Our goldsmiths polish and finish every piece of fine jewelry by hand, which takes time. Can I trust and purchase from BOLTENSTERN.com?
Yes, you can trust BOLTENSTERN.com. We use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving customer data that is exchanged with our site server. At BOLTENSTERN, we respect your privacy, and we will only disclose your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
What is your returns & exchange policy?
In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your BOLTENSTERN order, you may be able to exchange your products or receive a full refund. For all non-customized pieces, we can exchange the piece in-store or online within two weeks of your original purchase. For customized products, please contact us directly at returns@boltenstern.com.
Do you have a repair policy?
Although our products are made to the highest quality, unexpected things can happen, and your product may break or become damaged. Every BOLTENSTERN product has a standard one-year warranty. If you happen to have an issue with a piece, please contact us directly at returns@boltenstern.com and we will get you back to you as soon as possible.
How can I best take care of my BOLTENSTERN fine jewelry?
BOLTENSTERN maintains the highest standards in design, materials, and craftsmanship, creating jewelry that can be passed down from generation to generation. With some simple, basic care, you can help preserve and protect your jewelry for years to come. Daily wear, dust, and pollution can all conspire to cloud the brilliance of gemstones, and the surface of gold, platinum, and silver can become dulled.
Professional cleaning and polishing is recommended as often as once a year. Which is why we encourage you to bring your BOLTENSTERN jewelry back to us for professional servicing. Our showroom staff are knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of jewelry care.
Product availability
When it comes to BOLTENSTERN precious metal 3D printed pieces we have two product availability status’.
Ready for shipment: this means the fine jewelry piece has already been crafted and finished by our in-house goldsmiths and is ready for shipment. Delivery times for these pieces are 1-7 working days, depending on whether you choose standard or express delivery and where you are located.
Ready to be 3D printed/crafted: to create the best possible customer experience, many of our BOLTENSTERN pieces are made to order. Once you have placed your order the piece you have chosen will be printed or crafted and finished by our in-house goldsmiths. Which is why delivery times are 2-4 weeks. If you need to speed up your order or have a date in mind, please do get in contact, and we will do our very best to meet your request.

Will my items be gift-wrapped?
Because we believe that receiving one of our pieces is always a special occasion, every single piece you purchase will arrive in a signature BOLTENSTERN gift box, wrapped in a satin ribbon.
